ECC's Payroll Services solution is a bundled service that removes
costly, labor-intensive time and expense administration and billing headaches.
This combines to reduce or eliminate the working capital constraints that
prevent staffing firms and independent recruiters from expanding and growing
their businesses. To understand the process, our bundled service is described
here – payroll funding and payroll processing.
Payroll Funding
A common scenario for recruiting and staffing firms is the difficulty of growing their business because they are limited on working capital. Placing contractors on jobs with their clients creates a burden on covering billable payroll, often limiting the ability of the firm to place more contractors or win additional business. ECC eases this burden by providing payroll funding on billable contractors and their expenses. Recruiting and staffing firms are thus able to utilize their working capital to grow their business and service their clients.
Funding is available as long as needed or as long as the end-client contract lasts. There is no minimum usage required. Funding includes the billable hours as well as reimbursable expenses. ECC provides web-based time and expense tracking to help facilitate reporting and invoicing. ECC invoices the client on behalf of the recruiter or staffing firm, collects from the client, and then pays the recruiting or staffing firm in a timely manner.
Payroll Processing
ECC's Payroll Processing Services help recruiting and staffing firms remove costly, labor-intensive time and administration and billing functions, in addition to paper checks from their payroll. ECC’s full array of back-office services include web-based time and expense administration and reporting, processing of payroll, payment of payroll taxes, billable hours and expenses invoicing to clients and collection of receivables.
Contractors are able to receive payment for their hours and expenses via direct deposit. Our direct deposit service allows contractors to have all their wages deposited into one bank account, or split the funds between a personal account and a savings or household account. Deposits can even be made to multiple banks or to a payroll debit card.
ECC Payroll Services allow recruiters and staffing firms the flexibility to provide payroll funding and processing to both W-2 employees and independent contractors (1099). Our services are included when we are the Employer of Record. We can also provide these services to your own employees as long as they work billable hours.
Payroll Services Process
This process is designed for those staffing and recruiting firms, as well as independent recruiters, who do not need our employer of record services. Below we have briefly described the process to give you an idea of how this works throughout the payroll and billing periods.
- The recruiting or staffing firm provides ECC with the client contract details and consultant/contractors to be payrolled.
- ECC provides client analysis and credit qualification services for you to confirm and qualify payroll funding.
- Your temporay contractors report their hours and expenses on ECC’s web time sheet every pay period, and ECC invoices the client.
- ECC pays the contractors using our Payroll Processing services every pay period.
- When ECC collects on the invoice from the client, we pay the recruiting or staffing firm their margin minus our fees.
- The recruiting or staffing firm does not use their working capital at all for their contractor's payroll.
